With Easter fast approaching, how about making a little Easter bunny buddy of your own? This kid-friendly sock rabbit is very easy to make and requires no sewing at all! So it’s safe for kids to make on their own (or with some help from you).
You will need:
- An old sock
- 2 cups rice
- rubber bands x2
- Black marker
- 25cm of ribbon
- Sharp scissors
1. Fill a sock up with 2 cups of rice and use a rubber band to tie off where the rice fills up to (the overhanging part will create the bunny ears).
2. To create the rabbit head, tie off the sock, with a rubber band, slightly above the middle.
3. With the top over-hanging section of the sock, cut from top to bottom through the middle to create the two bunny ears. Trim the ears into your desired ear length and shape.
4. Lastly, tie a ribbon of your choice around the rabbit’s neck and draw on its features!
These bunnies are perfect for decorating, filling out an Easter basket or keeping kids company during an Easter hunt!
