Who We Are

Like A Photon Creative (LAPC) is a multi-award-winning,and internationally acclaimed production company based in Brisbane, Australia. We are a small, but crazy talented team on a mission to make beautiful and engaging content for kids!

The Kindergo Project falls under an umbrella of children’s content produced by LAPC. As storytellers, we are very proud of our product and will continue to dedicate ourselves to delighting, enchanting and inspiring young readers.

Managing Director
Kristen Souvlis is a producer specialising in children’s television production. After graduating from a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama) in 2005 as valedictorian, Kristen started on her television journey as Production
Coordinator for stalwart Network Ten children’s series, TOTALLY WILD.
After 5 years at Jonathan M. Shiff Productions in the producing and development team for shows such asH2O: JUST ADD WATER, LIGHTNING POINT and MAKO MERMAIDS, Kristen went onto produce concepts for the ABC, Sesame Street USA and The History Channel.Kristen also specialised in children’s communication, with her Associate Diploma from Trinity College London and is passionate about educating children through storytelling.

Creative Director
Over the past ten years Nadine has created children’s content for various platforms and international markets. From writing picture books, running an independent publishing company, to her more recent screenwriting and producing roles in television, Nadine remains dedicated to the creation of stellar children’s content.
Nadine also has a background in education with Griffith University. She received First Class Honours and the Griffith Academic Award for Excellence. She then taught for 5 years as an English and Drama teacher, culminating as the Head of Department for English at Tamborine Mountain State High School.  Nadine is currently completing a PhD in ‘Screenwriting and Children’s Media’ with the assistance of an Australian Postgraduate Award Scholarship at Griffith University.

Digital Strategy Manager
Amy Parry is an educator and director with over 10 years of experience in these fields.
Amy has taught a range of ages throughout her years as a teacher. Amy has taught dance to 2-5 year olds, English in Italy and Korea to primary school students, she has been a drama teacher to Foundation-Year 12 students, and has been a specialist Physical Theatre and Puppetry teacher.
Before working with Like A Photon, Amy worked as the Primary School Program coordinator for Children’s Cancer Charity, Camp Quality. Through this role Amy delivered play-based therapy with Puppets in hospitals throughout Queensland, as well as delivering Cancer Education to schools.
Amy believes in immersive and engaging “play experience” as the best form of entertaining and educating children, and is exited to continue fulfilling this belief through the work she is doing on Kindergo with Like A Photon.

Chief Technical Officer
Cameron Morrow is a web developer specialising in PHP/MySQL backend systems and modern, mobile friendly HTML frontends.
Coming from a family of teachers, Cam bucked the trend when he graduated with a Bachelor of Multimedia from Griffith University in 2003. He was employed by Zone4, building a PHP based internal CMS and producing flash-based frontends for clients such as Tourism Queensland.
He then joined Hoodlum in 2006 and led a team of backend developers on large scale projects for brands such LOST, HOME & AWAY, PRIMEVAL and SALT. He also led backend development on internal Hoodlum productions such as SLIDE and SECRETS & LIES and for large digital projects for ABC Kids, DANCE ACADEMY and CONSPIRACY 365.
Cam enjoys large scale projects like KINDERGO; combining technical expertise and creative problem solving to produce engaging, consumer-focused content platforms.
Alexander Shakhovskoy – BCI, BEd, MID

Alexander Shakhovskoy – BCI, BEd, MID

Alex is an enthusiastic UX designer, researcher and developer, who has spent a number of years working with small to medium startups on new and existing mobile, desktop and site specific outcomes. He thrives in spaces that combine technical complexity, creative problem solving and human dynamics.
Before he received his Masters in Interaction Design and Technology from the University of Queensland, Alex was a media design teacher in Australian and England and a pioneer of paperless classrooms at Chadwell Heath Academy in London. Alex has a passion for creating excellent educational experiences for children using the best and most forward technology.
